When is Halifax Music Fest?
Halifax Music Fest takes place Friday, June 26 & Saturday, June 27, 2026.
Where is Halifax Music Fest?
The festival is held at Garrison Grounds, located on the southwest side of Citadel Hill National Historic Site. The entrances are off Sackville Street and Ahern Avenue. Please refer to your ticket confirmation for your designated entry gate.
What time do the gates open?
Gates open at 4:00 PM each festival day.
What time does it end?
Headliners will finish up at approximately 11:00 PM each night.
Is there an age restriction?
- Persons 14 years of age and under must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times. Minimum of 1 adult per 4 minors.
- Some performances may contain content not suitable for children. Parental discretion is advised.
What is considered valid photo ID?
Those 19+ must have a valid (non-expired) government-issued photo ID – please be prepared to present two pieces of ID (health card or other government-issued ID) upon request. For those aged 15 – 18, who are not attending with a parent or legal guardian, a student ID or driver’s license will be accepted.
Is re-entry allowed once I have my wristband?
No. If you leave the site, you will not be permitted to re-enter that day.
Will there be a site map available?
Yes. A general site map (subject to change) is available on the ticketing page.
What forms of payment are accepted?
- A credit card is required to purchase tickets.
- On-site purchases will be credit or debit only (No cash transactions).
- Limited cash transactions may be available from some vendors.
Is the festival rain or shine?
Yes. The festival will proceed unless a severe weather event occurs.
Is smoking, vaping, or cannabis allowed?
No. Halifax Music Fest is a smoke-free and vape-free event in accordance with Parks Canada regulations at the Garrison Grounds.

Who is performing and when?
Performances begin at 5:30 PM daily. When the full schedule is released, you can view it on the lineup page.
What happens if an artist cancels?
All scheduled performances, including headliners, are subject to change or cancellation without notice. No refunds will be issued due to artist changes or cancellations.
CODE OF CONDUCT
Halifax Music Fest is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all guests, artists, staff, and volunteers. The following Code of Conduct outlines the behaviours expected of all participants. Violations may result in removal from the festival grounds, without refund, and possible referral to law enforcement.
- Have your valid government issued photo ID on you at all times.
- If you notice something that doesn’t seem right, do not ignore it. Flag down any staff member, security personnel or HRP officer on-site.
- Minor persons under the age of 19 are not permitted to consume or handle alcohol under law. Any person violating the Liquor Control Act will be ejected from the festival grounds and referred to law enforcement.
- Anyone providing drinks to minors or contributing to the intoxication of a minor will be immediately removed from the festival grounds, without refund and referred to law enforcement.
- Cannabis and/or other drugs may not be brought onto the festival grounds without proper prescription and identification.
- If you have consumed alcohol or drugs, do not drive.
- Intoxicated persons will not be allowed to enter the festival grounds.
- Individuals with alcohol in their possession will not be permitted to enter the festival grounds.
- Respect others, all property, and your own reputation. Verbal abuse, intimidation or harassment of any kind will not be tolerated.
- Any person found to be in possession of a weapon will be subject to a criminal investigation and immediately removed from the event without a refund.
- Any person found to be fighting or threatening others will immediately be removed from the event without refund.
- No public indecency is allowed anywhere on the festival grounds.
- Operation of remote-controlled devices, including drones, is prohibited.
- No open fires or flames are permitted.
- Anyone caught breaking festival rules or the law will be removed without a refund.
